Good Day Everyone!! This is good news to all gamers especially Game Developers Club (GDC) members. We are going to organize a LAN PARTY after midterm break. All you have to do is bring your own computer and start to play games with other gamers. This will be a memorable experience for gamers to know each other, learn from each other, and much more. Tables, chairs, network, and refreshments will be provided. You can play there all day long after you set your pc up there!! The main objective of this event is to gather players together and have fun together in a place, just like a cc, with low cost ^^ (maybe for RM2 or 3 you can sit and play for the whole day). The event will be on saturday, from morning till evening (or maybe night, depending on the players’ feedbacks. LAN parties are very popular in other countries, so we, Game Developers Club from MMU Cyberjaya would like to take the initiative to promote this event in Malaysia. Gamers!!!! Do you hear this?? MMU Game Developers Club (GDC) is back with a big event held annually, which is the MMU Closed DOTA, CS tournament. Now is the chance for DOTA and CS players to show off your skills. MMU Closed DOTA and CS tournament will be held as shown below: Date: 23/8/2008 (Saturday) Game selection: We have two games that you can register for which is DOTA and CS. *Note: You are not allowed to register for two games because both games will be held at the same time. Requirements:-Participants must be MMU’s students since it is a closed tournament. Registration fees:-RM 20 per team (Member price) *We only open 16 teams for DOTA and 16 teams for CS. So please hurry to register yourself at GDC’s booth (Central Plaza). Prize: 1st prize — RM 200 (For DOTA and CS) MMU Closed DOTA and CS tournament is now open for registration. Señores… Sobrepasamos ya la mitad de la party de este año. Este tercer dÃa no ha podido ser más provechoso, no. Me he despertado a eso de las 9 de la mañana para acudir al stand de Euskaltel, desde donde se emitÃa en directo y para todo el paÃs el matinal de Cadena SER, “Hoy por hoy”. He tenido la oportunidad de conocer al equipo de la SER en Bilbao y también a Pedro Blanco, director del programa en época estival. Poco tiempo he tenido de reubicarme en mi puesto, porque a las 13:30 ha comenzado la quedada twittera de la capital vizcaÃna por excelencia. Twittbilbao ha coincidido con la Euskal y nos hemos ido a comer a un restaurante chino aquà en Barakaldo. Por cierto, me ha gustado. No está de más mencionar que nunca habÃa comido en un restaurante chino y alguna tenÃa que ser la primera vez, ¿no? Por lo demás… A las 6 de la tarde ha comenzado mi actividad frente al ordenador. Realmente ha sido hoy el que más tiempo fuera he pasado. Por la tarde concurso de frikis, auténticos frikis en el escenario principal de la Party y creo que con premios. Si no fuera por el acecho de las cámaras y la tentación de subir las suculentas grabaciones a YouTube, me habrÃa animado… En serio. Y es que para frikis ni Enjuto Mojamuto ni las disputas entre el Osito Gominola y el “Peluchito”. Porque la atracción estrella de la tarde ha sido la “boda” a lo Euskal. No me pidáis detalles… La verdad no le he prestado mucha atención. Y sÃ, deberÃa haberlo hecho. :-D Hace escasos minutos se ha disputado la guerra de globos mÃtica, según dicen, de la Euskal. Ha ganado una chica llamada Vero, que, como era de suponer, era de las pocas que habÃa por allÃ. Balance del dÃa: añado 50 gigas más a mi disco duro, unos cuantos usuarios más para followear en Twitter y bastantes amistades. No dudo que mañana, penúltimo dÃa, el ritmo será frenético.
