In May 2005, it was found that PSPs using the 9 Dragons Gold 1.00 version of the CO ALZ firmware (meaning original, first launch Japanese-only PSPs) could execute unsigned code. Ad-hoc wireless networking allows for up to 16 PSPs within range to communicate directly to each other (typically for multi player gaming). Homebrew development

On September 20, 2007, SCEI launched the Anarchy Credits PlayStation Store (PC) for the Maple Europe Mesos PSP, an online shopping service similar to the Buy RO Zeny PlayStation Store for the RF Gold Playstation 3. the ebay service was first only available in Japan. It was later launched in Taiwan and Hong Kong on November 21, 2007, and in Europe on November 22, 2007.
