The ACM LAN Party event was a great success. Even though the announcement happened at the last minute, we had a good turnout to have some great team capture the flag, deathmatch, and plenty of other gametypes in Unreal Tournament 2k3 and Quake III Arena.
The victor for today’s LAN party is:

Alex won several consecutive matches, fragging everyone to a pulp in most rounds. Congrats for your merciless n00b owning efforts!
The gameplay progressed through many phases, first starting out normally, then shifting to a complicated battle between “God”, “A_Puppy”, and “Animal_Control”, plus many others. The saddest part of the whole night was “You killed A_Puppy”. The carnage ensued for the entire night, even after some of the folks left at 7:30.
Next weeks LAN party will occur Wednesday, Meier Hall 210 from 5 till 9pm. (Room is subject to change to any available computer lab, but will always be in the Computer Science Department Wing). We provide all the games, so don’t worry about bringing in your own. Pizza will be provided from Engine House. Be there or be [].
