Pues como viene siendo habitual, me llevé un buen sabor de boca, me encantan las lan party’s pequeñas, son las mejores con diferencia. Ví a mi amigo Manu, (esa rubiaaaaa XDDDDDDDD, que cabrón soy), también conocí a unos cuantos que solo tenía relación con ellos vía msn/foros. Y sobretodo, mucho vicio.

Se echaron bastantes partidas al Call of Duty 4, descubrimos que se puede jugar en Lan tranquilamente con clientes piratas XDDD. También calleron bastantes partidas al Counter Strike Source, al Day of defeat Source, y demás jueguecitos

Montamos un improvisado clan para jugar en el Torneo de Counter Strike Source y lo ganamos, el premio fue una copita XDDDD, yo me conformaba con 20 euros XDDDD, pero nada.

También numerosas coñas via voipstunt llamando a fijos, fue impresionante lo del “Perro que andaba hacia atrás”, o “¿Si pongo dos tarjetas de sonido en paralelo funcionarán mas rápido?”, y mas coñas similares XD.

Y weno, desde ya esperando que llegue marzo para la MLP

Well, I’ve had an exciting past three days. Friday, I hung out with Geoff (and other people) and went to the movies. We saw National Treasure 2. It gets two Branden thumbs up. On Saturday night, I went with Corey and Matt to a LAN party. Counter Strike and Guitar Hero 3 all night. By the time I made it home, it was about 4:30 (that’s AM, people). Sunday night, I went over to Andrea’s. It was amazingly fun. We talked, we watched some movies (28 Days Later, Austin Powers:IMoM, Dude, Where’s My Car and Take The Money And Run), we painted each other’s nails (joke), etc. That was another night of not getting home until after 4 in the morning.
It’s odd, when Andrea and I actually went to school together, we didn’t really talk. We were barely more than acquaintances. And now, I’m beating myself up for not hanging out with her sooner.

But that makes me wonder: How many other people did I know in high school, and not take the time to get to know better, that would’ve been awesome to spend time with? Was the guy who could make me laugh more than anyone sitting next to me in Calc? Was the girl who could give me insights to the female mind the one I haven’t said more than three words to at church? If it wasn’t for AIM and insomnia, I would’ve missed out on the chance to hang with Andrea. Unfortunately, it seems that if the only chance one has of making sure not to miss out on potential good friends is to pray for amazing first impressions. Other than that, there isn’t anything you can do.

I’m blogging today using my mobile as a 3G modem, our ADSL line has been atrociously slow all day and websites simply time out. Virgin tech support has been useless, absolutely crap and I wipe my hands of them. I’ll be sure to change my ISP after Christmas it’s become a very unfunny joke. Our speeds vary from 5Kbps to 300Kbps and the latency is consistently 200ms+ making games impossibly ‘laggy’. Up yours Virgin Media, up yours…

We visited my grandparents up in Luton yesterday, needless to say it was very dull. My grandparents nag and nag about jobs and the way this generation live their lives, it’s the same every single time we go and it drives me up the wall. We had the obligatory ‘in my day’ speech and they fussed over my weight insisting I needed to eat more, pushing food into my face every chance they could. We didn’t stay long but it felt like hours…

On the way home we stopped at Ikea Lakeside and bought a new dining table set and some tabletops for tomorrows LAN party. Fingers crossed we’ll have enough table space but it’ll be cramped all the same! ^_^;

The only other very crap bit of news is that both of the job agencies I’ve worked for the last couple of weeks has failed to pay me before Christmas. I’m completely skint again and not happy about it… bloody job agencies…
