Vom 27. bis 30. Dezember veranstaltet MTF eine LAN bei der Fraggers Location. Unkostenbeitrag 25.-CHF. Geboten wird schnelles Netzwerk (mit 1Gbit Switches), Grill und Raclette Angebot und die Location hat Küche samt Mikrowelle und Kühschrank sowie ein Selecta Automaten. Gespielt werden vorwieglich Egoshooter und Rennspiele und vereinzelt Rollen- und Strategiespiele. Spiele die man dabei haben sollte:

The SCA club will host their next LAN party on Saturday, December 8th. We will start at 1:00pm and will finish around 11:30pm. The price is free. You must be at least 16 with parental permission if under 18. Food will not be served but feel free to bring your own snacks or cold items. Most food places deliver to Johnson Hall. The CISGS experiment at Dreamhack, the world’s largest LAN party event, is mostly concerned with understanding how gaze-tracking can be used to play games (playing a special Half-Life 2 single player mod in this case), and how this compares with just using a mouse. By gaze-tracking, the game engine “knows” where you are looking on the computer screen and can use this as a control device, for example to steer the camera or aim a weapon in a game. The Dreamhack experiment will test how long it takes players to learn how to play by this method, and then how their gameplay improves compared with using mouse movements; what we expect to find is that gameplay with gaze tracking is much faster and can therefore give players a strong advantage in competitive multiplayer gaming. The data obtained will also be used to test the effects of different graphics, and to identify different styles in which a game is played by different people. The experiment is conducted with world leading eye tracking technology provided by Tobii Technology AB.
