Die schwedische LAN Party mit dem Namen DreamHack gilt als größe LAN Party der Welt. Sie findet seit 1994 jährlich und seit 2002 halbjährlich statt. Jedem Teilnehmer stehen bis zu 100 Mbit/s zur Verfügung. Außerdem ist das komplette Netzwerk noch über eine 40 Gbit/s Leitung an das Internet angebunden. Das alles wurde mit Telia und Cisco realisiert. Von Cisco kommen CRS-1 Carrier Routing System Router zum Einsatz.
