so from about 12 noon friday until 11 AM sunday, i was entrenched in a never ending environment of gaming. we ate a lot of sandwiches.

i was actually suprised at how well i performed at playing the old wc3/tft. i used to be stuck in a rut of how well i could perform and only with the orcs, but this time i was able to use the night elves and execute new forms of strategy that had always eluded me. i was also informed that my skills at CS looked to be intact with a coating of rust, but when i tried to work them alittle harder it just crumbled away. i did horribly.

after the ritualistic diner run, the name of the game was deep cleansing. not just myself, but also my PC, my desk, and around the house. I started with the desk. i cleaned off all the papers, change, and pens and such and was even able to dust it off with some old english. spiffy. i set all my gear back up on the desk and un-cluttered the wires in the back of my PC that ran down to the floor. Once i was powered on, i deleted a bunch of crap and uninstalled some programs i didnt need or want. i let the hard drives do some defrag while i was eating dinner. i also managed to help my dad install a new curtain rod and shower curtain in our bathroom. we got rid of the shower doors i guess during the 2 days i was gone.

mark’s PC got some spring cleaning too. he backed up his files he wanted to keep and we blew his shit away. did a fresh install and its running like a champ and he is happy. its amazing what a reformat and a fresh install can do.

my cleaning spree continued today/this morning when i got to work. i brought in my old lcd monitor and put it on my desk to replace the old CRT behemoth that i had. dusted off the entire desk, straightened papers, threw shit out. the whole area looks streamlined now. which is good because i really need to focus on being able to get shit done, and having it layed out in front of me orderly helps.

somewhere in the mix of all of this i left out everything that happened on thursday night with the pickup of mike and going into New Haven for food, but i dont have the time to get it written down now. maybe later.

I want to know who is in and who is out for this weekends LAN party.  I know the following people have confirmed.

I’d really like to play Battlefield 2142 as well, it’s currently going for $30 at stores, but I know not everyone has it and some are reluctant to purchase a game they won’t play on their own.  If you’re feeling adventurous pick it up otherwise we’ll see who comes and what games they have.  Also feel free to bring any other games you have for when things start to break down or people take breaks and you want a change of pace.

Gaming start will be at 7PM on Saturday the 1st.  You can setup your rig anytime prior to that just let me know so I can make sure we have a spot for you and that someone will be here at the house.

I think $15 should be more then enough cover for food and drinks.  And on that topic what would everyone want?  i was thinking sandwiches, not hoagies, but just cold cuts and rolls.  Pizza is good but seems to also be good at destroying everyone stomach, same for wings.

Well that’s all, basically if you have a rig that can handle BF2 and HL2 you’re more then welcome to come join the festivities.
